2014 International Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses - AT&T Stadium, Arlington TX

"Keep on seeking first God's Kingdom!"
(Matthew 6.33)

2014 International Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses
Arlington, TX

We had the absolute privilege and pleasure of attending the 2014 international convention of Jehovah's Witnesses, entitled "Keep seeking first God's Kingdom," last weekend. Right here in DFW! I have always loved this city. But last weekend, it was even more special to me.

Why is this so special?

There are approximately 8 million brothers and sisters around the world. To be in the same room as some of the devoted international missionaries and delegates, the very people we read about in our publications, further demonstrates Jehovah's love for his flock. Also, meeting members of congregations from around NM, TX, OK and LA, who also made sacrifices to come to Arlington, was very special. You could feel Jehovah's spirit in our midst.

Also, I got to experience this once-in-a-lifetime event with my lovable husband John, who has recently demonstrated a humble heart and growing love for Jah. And last but not least: my sister and brother in law!

It was especially important as this year we celebrate 100 years since Jesus took his throne in heaven.

The event caught the eye of the  media! You can view the well-written article published in the Star Telegram here.

Jehovah has truly blessed us and we are happy to have been afforded the chance to represent his beautiful organization!

Here are some of the pictures from last weekend! Enjoy!

Thank you for the awesome pano shot, John!

Baptism on the Jumbotron. How special to see each and every one of the 430 baptized!!! My eyes teared up with joy for one particular brother who had only one leg! If he can do it, I CAN do it!
Kim gave a wonderful witness! I was so proud of her, I pulled a random brother aside & told him the one in the pink was my former bible teacher. She is so inspiring!

Sisters from Mexico

One of our favorite speakers!

More international delegates!
The biblical drama is STILL one of the highlights for me..

Missionaries visiting from various countries around the world.

Member of the governing body premiering new video! But mum's the word on the title :)

On our way out, we snapped a picture with this lovely sister (delegate) visiting from South Africa!

Future pioneers? or maybe missionaries?! :)

My sister in flesh and in faith :)

Dinner @ the Cheesecake Factory.

In the end we were exhausted but more determined than ever to "keep seeking first God's kingdom!"

  1. I was so excited when I realized I would for the first time in my life be attending an international convention. Imagine the added excitement to realize that my sister was going to be attending WITH HER HUSBAND!
May Jehovah bless your efforts (& John's) to draw close to him.
I can totally see your pioneering by the way ;-) Love you mija!
